Dirty Water Haiti

Are you aware of a product that may help your international travels and mission trips?  Many times, when journeying to a third world environment, access to clean water is a major consideration.  The possibility of becoming ill from the local water sources is very real and can make the trip a miserable experience.  In many cases, arrangements are made in advance to source clean water, but as we all know, sometimes these plans do not work as planned.  To be truly prepared on the mission field, having the ability to filter your own water is a good strategy.

The BugOut® Water Bag that we offer is a great solution to this problem.  First, it is compact.  It is approximately 13” long by 4” in diameter.  Secondly, the filters have been tested by some of the most prestigious institutions such as John Hopkins University Laboratory, Abbot Laboratory in South Africa, and the University of Chihuahua in Mexico, to name a few.  It removes 100% of Cryptosporidium, E. Coli, and Giardia (see our FAQ page for more details on filter efficacy).  Lastly, it is silver impregnated so you can use the filter, stop usage, and restart usage  without concerns of bacteria growing within the filter itself.  See the filters in action in Haiti following this link https://vimeo.com/59709236.

The filters have been used for humanitarian purposes for years!  It makes sense to use the filters for people travelling abroad.  As an added bonus, individuals on a mission trip can leave the filter behind for the people they have impacted to leave them the gift of clean water.  In fact, teams could take several of these filters to use on the trip and leave several behind to provide gallons of water for months and years to come.
